Breathington

Breathington

Breathington began as a simple idea: make a breathing app that feels warm, friendly and visually inviting instead of clinical, generic or overly serious. The goal was to create an experience that people would actually want to return to, with a calm atmosphere, a custom character, playful details and a clean interface.

Platonic Frequency

Platonic Frequency

Platonic Frequency was created as an interactive web-based world built around immersion, atmosphere and exploration. The piece combines environmental design, image-making and spatial storytelling to create a place that feels contemplative, surreal and slightly outside of ordinary reality.

Las Vegas Sphere

Las Vegas Sphere

A series of large-format campaign projects created as part of a team at Mirada, including work for Google, Adobe and Bausch + Lomb. My role varied from project to project, spanning animation, compositing, sequence assembly, conform, cleanup and finishing support.

How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother

I designed and directed the opening title sequence for How I Met Your Mother, including logo design. I posted a few of the alternate logo explorations. I also shot still photos for a lot of the background elements using a Lomo camera and a bunch of extras that we had meet us at a local bar.

Fitbit

Fitbit

Introducing the new Fitbit Flex and Fitbit Charge models. These announcement videos were designed to highlight the latest features of the new models, such as the new Flex being more fashion forward than previous Fitbit trackers and the updated Charge model includes many new advanced features.

Chili's Baby Back Ribs

Chili's Baby Back Ribs

Chili's created new BBQ flavors inspired by various regional specialties throughout the American South. To illustrate the variety, we envisioned a fun filled road trip, complete with side trips, roadside diners and great friends, all captured with snap shots later assembled into a memorable scrapbook of the journey.

Windows Phone

Windows Phone

This was a live action announcement video for Windows Phone 7, premiered at a mobile device conference in Barcelona and introduced by then-CEO Steve Ballmer.

Sweet'N Low

Sweet'N Low

For this project, we created 11 mini-worlds, all out of paper, for a complete refresh of Sweet 'N Low branding materials. Photos of the sets were used for the sweetnlow.com website, web banner ads, magazine print ads and as reference models for the 15 second animated spot.

hexeosis

hexeosis

hexeosis began as an independent visual art practice built around looping animation, geometry, color, rhythm and repetition. The looping GIFs became the core of the project and the main way people encountered the work, spreading rapidly online and drawing a large audience.

hexeosis client work

hexeosis client work

Alongside my commercial and studio work, I have also created a wide range of commissioned projects under the hexeosis name. These have included album covers, music videos, logo animation, live visuals and other custom pieces for musicians, labels and independent clients.

hexeosis products

hexeosis products

Over time, the hexeosis project expanded into direct to audience products that included, direct-to-collector digital editions, stickers, a Kickstarter campaign for a 30-minute animated video and immersive works such as Platonic Frequency.
